Mary M. Deaver, D.V.M. : Owner, Veterinarian, Fear Free Certified

Dr. Deaver graduated both undergrad and vet school from the University of Florida--Go Gators! A Gulf Breeze native, Dr. Deaver began walking dogs for Parkway early on in college and has now worked her way up to not only being a veterinarian here, but the proud owner of Parkway Animal Hospital. Dr. Deaver has a special interest in feline medicine, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. She also provides veterinary acupuncture and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine services. Dr. Deaver is so happy to be back in Gulf Coast area permanently, where she lives with her husband Dave, 3 crazy dogs, and 3 black cats.


Rebecca Dodd, D.V.M. : Associate Veterinarian, Fear Free Certified

Dr. Dodd graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Originally from Arkansas, she has lived and worked in the local area for several years. She has a special interest in exotics and a passion for sea turtle conservation and rehabilitation.


Emily Tryon, D.V.M. : Associate Veterinarian, Fear Free Certified

Dr. Tryon is a Gulf Breeze native who attended Gulf Breeze High School along with Dr. Deaver. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University after completing her Masters in Animal Anatomy at Colorado State University. Following vet school, Dr. Tryon completed a prestigious 1 year small animal rotating internship at Michigan State University. Dr. Tryon says she is happy to be back home and is ready to warm up in the Florida sunshine after her past few years out in the Midwest.


Heather Morrill, D.V.M. : Veterinarian

Dr. Morrill graduated from University of South Carolina as an undergrad and University of Georgia with her doctorate. Originally from Charleston, Dr. Morrill has worked at Parkway for five years now. If your child plays lacrosse in Gulf Breeze, there is a good chance you've already met her.


Susan Kirkbride, CVT: Practice Manager, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP), Fear Free Elite

Susie retired from the Air Force in 2015 with her MBA already, but decided to take a leap and follow her heart into the veterinary field. She graduated both the Pensacola State College associate degree program and the St. Petersburg College bachelor's degree program in Veterinary Technology. Her true passion is companion animal pain management and she is currently studying to take her exam to become a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner through the University of Tennessee.


Our Technician/Nursing Team 🩺🩹💊:

Ami Delgado Perez, CVT: Lead Clinical Technician, Fear Free Certified

Ami is our Clinical Lead CVT, which means she’s our leader in all things diagnostics (labwork, radiology, imaging), staff medical education, CPR and emergency care lead, and hospitalized patient manager in our hospital. If your pet has stayed with us in our hospital over the last few years, you have Ami to thank for guarding over them with her incredible, caring patient care and expertise. 

Lindsay Johnen, CVT: Lead Surgical Technician, Fear Free Certified

Lindsay is a local who was raised right here on the Emerald Coast. She graduated with an Associates of Science degree from the Pensacola State College Veterinary Technology program in 2018 and is passionate about anesthesia and surgery. In her free time she loves to ride her horse, Zane and spend time with her family in the outdoors.

Carmen McCray, CVT: Fear Free Certified

Carmen is from Dothan, AL and moved to Pensacola to chase her dreams of making an impact in the lives of animals. She is a graduate of the Pensacola State College Veterinary Technology program. Her passion is caring for patients. While continuing to evolve as a certified veterinary technician, she has taken a special interest in dentistry and has become the dental ambassador for Parkway. In her free time she likes to paint, hang in a hammock & read at the park, travel, and spend time with family & friends.

Kimberly Pfieffer, CVT: Fear Free Certified

Kim is a native of the Midwest who moved to the sunshine state to attend the University of West Florida to obtain a B.S. in Marine Biology.  After finishing that degree she decided to go back to school to earn her CVT credentials.  She started at Parkway in the summer of 2021.  She enjoys assisting with surgery patients and continuing to hone her nursing skills for her patients.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends, as well as traveling and enjoying/exploring the outdoors.

Jenn Bradley, Veterinary Assistant: Fear Free Certified

Jenn is a U.S. Navy veteran and originally from Michigan. After serving in the Navy she decided to follow her passion with working with animals. Jenn graduated the Animal Behavior College's Veterinary Assistant certificate program and is thriving in her second career.

Riley Lerille, Veterinary Assistant: Fear Free Certified

Riley is a Gulf Breeze native who has been with Parkway for over five years. Her passion is animal behavior and training. She is currently training her dog Mabel to be a service animal.

Aliana Guzman, Veterinary Assistant

Aliana is a full-time University of West Florida student who has been with Parkway for over three years now. From taking care of our boarders and patients to providing exceptional customer service to our clients, Aliana excels at everything she tries. In her spare time she loves walking the local trails with her dog Kenna.

Mary Gibisser, Customer Service Representative 

Mary was born and raised in Atlanta. She has an Early Education Teaching degree and taught Pre-K for 10 years. She has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. She move to Florida five years ago and has a Frenchie named Angus. In spare time she loves hanging out at home, reading, deep sea fishing, going to the beach, and visiting family and friends back in Atlanta.

Ashley Bush, Customer Service Representative

Ashley is from Pace, born and raised. She was drawn to veterinary medicine to help pets and their owners. Her professional goal is to constantly grow in her position and provide the absolute best customer service. In her free time she enjoys planning trips to Disney World, her favorite vacation destination.


Our Kennel Care Team🦮🐈: Riley, Aliana, Sarafina, Kim

Sarafina Mowe, Kennel Technician

Sarafina is a Gulf Breeze native who joined the Parkway family in the summer of 2021, with the goal of becoming a veterinarian herself. She loves assisting the doctors and technicians in blood draws, cytologies, and other procedures. If your furry loved one has stayed with us, either for boarding or hospitalization, Sarafina has strived to provide the upmost care and comfort during their stay. Furthermore, Sarafina is currently a full-time student at the University of West Florida working towards her B.S in Marine Biology with a concentration in aquatic veterinary medicine.

Kimberly Leffingwell, Kennel Technician

Kim worked as a veterinary assistant for 12 years in Pennsylvania. She also worked with horses for 2 1/2 years. She and her husband moved to Florida to enjoy the beaches and sunshine. After working in human dentistry for 7 years, Kim decided to return to her first love, veterinary medicine.
