What to Expect

***COVID-19 Update***

Currently, due to COVID-19 we are operating curbside at this time. Our lobby is closed to the public until further notice. All appointments are will be conducted through our curbside service.

What will this look like? When you arrive with your pet for their appointment time you can text us at 850-932-5534 to check-in. When a room is available one of our technicians will come to the vehicle to bring your pet inside. We ask that you please stay in the parking lot until we bring your pet back to you at the end of their exam. Once the doctor has finished their exam they will call you, so please keep your phone on and close at hand while you wait. We ask that all dogs be on a leash and all cats be secured in carriers. The only exception to the curbside rule will be for euthanasia appointments. We believe when it is time to say goodbye, it is important that you can be present with your pet. We do require all individuals that want to be present for euthanasias to please wear face masks while inside the clinic.

All food and medication pick ups will be done curbside. You can text or call us to place your order and we will get your order together. You can prepay before you come to pick up or we can come out to your vehicle and take payment with our wireless credit card readers when you arrive.

When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service.  We at Parkway Animal Hospital in Gulf Breeze FL have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet.  We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.  Call (850) 932-5534 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up.  This will include a full physical exam, and may include recommendations for teeth and gum cleaning if needed.  Dr. Michael Rennie or Dr. Mary Deaver will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Parkway Animal Hospital for service. Annual physical exams and vaccinations can help us catch problems early and help improve your pet's longevity and well-being for years to come.

We work hard here at Parkway Animal Hospital to make our clinic as fear-free as possible in order to keep your furry family members comfortable and happy during appointments. We strive to maintain separate exam rooms and boarding facilities for cats versus dogs, and we use a variety of veterinary behaviorist approved calming methods such as Feliway and Adaptil sprays clinic-wide. We want your pet to be treated as we would want our own pets to be treated in a veterinary setting, which is with respect and love. Your family is our family, too!

Please bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic.  It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts.  If you have something like this, please do not hesitate to share it with our team, no matter how trivial it may seem.  Let us know everything that you think will be important.  Dr. Rennie and Dr. Deaver will work with whatever information you may have to help explain what may be going on with your pet.
